American Bank of Investments (previously Credit Agricole Albania Bank) operates in the Albanian market since 1999. It used to operate under the name Emporiki Bank – Albania as the local arm of Greece-based Emporiki Bank Group. In March 2010, Emporiki Bank – Albania became part of France’s Credit Agricole Group, after the French financial leader acquired 100% stake in the Greek parent company. In 2012 the Tirana-based lender was renamed to Credit Agricole Albania. In 2015 it was later renamed to American Bank of Investments after Credit Agricole investment group sold 100% of the shares to NCH Capital American investment group. American Bank of Investments provides a wide range of banking services and products, including commercial loans, cash management and non-credit operations. Its client base comprises individuals, SMEs, corporate clients and institutions. It attends its clients through a network of over 20 outlets throughout the country.
