Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, commonly known as Banco Provincia, is a public bank owned by the Province of Buenos Aires and headquartered at San Martín 137, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, with administrative headquarters also located in La Plata. Founded in 1822, it is recognized as the oldest bank in Hispanic America and one of Argentina’s largest financial institutions by assets, reporting ARS 14.3 trillion in assets as of November 2024. The bank operates an extensive network of over 418 branches and a workforce of approximately 10,500 employees, offering a full suite of retail, corporate, and public‑sector financial services, including bank accounts, debit and credit cards, loans, mortgages, insurance, investment funds, and safe‑deposit boxes.
