The Hospital Británico de Buenos Aires is a non-profit civil association that aims to provide high-complexity healthcare to the community, train excellent medical professionals, and develop cutting-edge scientific knowledge for the country and the world. Founded in 1844 by the British community in Argentina, the hospital is open to the entire population and celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2019 with a strong commitment to its values and a forward-looking perspective. The hospital stands out for its pioneering achievements, including the establishment of the oldest Nursing School in the country, as well as its alliances with the University of Buenos Aires and the Argentine Catholic University, which enable it to serve as a Teaching Unit and University Hospital, respectively.
