Prear Pretensados Argentinos S.A. was created from the need to prefabricate structures for the works that Jose Cartellone Construcciones Civiles S.A. (One of the most important construction companies in the region) has been developing in the country throughout its trajectory, basically as a construction company of road infrastructure and hydroelectric works. In that sense, JCCC S.A. set up its own prefabricated plant in the town of Coquimbito, province of Mendoza at the end of the 60's, to give it in 1977 the identity it has today as PREAR, Pretensados Argentinos S.A. a company of the Cartellone Group of Companies.
