Bosnian electricity distributor Elektrohercegovina, part of local power utility Elektroprivreda RS, was set up in 1949. The company is based in Trebinje in the Serb Republic, which, together with the Muslim-Croat federation, make up post-war Bosnia. The core business of Electrohercegovina consists of the ownership and operation of power generation facilities and the transmission, distribution and sale of electric power in the southeastern part of the Serb Republic. The company annually supplies to its subscribers about 180 GWh of electricity, which accounts for 6.0% of the total electricity consumption in the Serb Republic. It also supplies electricity to roughly 26,800 consumers, out of which 24,600 households and 2,200 wholesale and other consumers.
