Zitopromet AD was set up in 1961 as a company for grain processing and food production. It was privatized in 2002. The main activities of Zitopromet AD include storage and drying of grain, transport and processing of cereals, manufacture of bakery products, production of animal feed as well as catering and commercial services. Zitopromet AD operates two maize processing mills, one wheat processing mill, a fodder factory, an animal feed production plant, a grain drying and storage warehouse, a laboratory and the seven stores for grain products and animal food in the municipality of Bijeljina.
