The West India Biscuit Company Ltd. is one of the oldest bakery in the Caribbean. Besides this, it is one of the most dynamic and successful companies in the Caribbean. The beginning of the company's history is hidden in the remote 1850s when John Hoad & Company opened a bakery called The Barbados Biscuit Company and began making biscuits. In 1950 West India Biscuit Company Limited was founded. After the Second World War both companies merged and The West India Biscuit Company Ltd. was born. The company fabricates crackers and biscuits and it has become a world-class company.
