Nikolovo Agro AD (Николово Агро АД) (Bulgaria)

Svinekomplex Nikolovo AD is a company located in Ruse, Northern Bulgaria, in the region of the Danube Plain. The company was established in 1972-1975 and operates as a nucleus for pig breeding. They are a supplier of two main breeds - Large White and Landrace. Svinekomplex Nikolovo AD has a meat processing plant that was built in 1985 and offers a variety of fresh and cured sausages, minced meat, and delicatessen products. In 1997, the company was acquired by Bulgarian firm "Laudis International" Ltd. Since 2000, the company has undergone renovations and upgrades to comply with European Union directives. They now have a nucleus herd and hybrid sows for the production of pork for processing. The company also has its own meat processing factory that meets all safety criteria and has a traceability system for their products. They hold a license to export their products to the European Union. In 2006, the company expanded and modernized their meat processing and meat production facilities. They have also implemented environmentally friendly practices for waste management.
