The Company is principally engaged in the provision of agency services in the People's Republic of China.
The Company distributes insurance products underwritten by domestic and foreign insurance companies operating in China, and provides various insurance-related services, such as emergency services in select cities, damage assessment, and assistance with claim settlement to individuals and institutions. The company markets and sells property and casualty insurance products, including automobile, individual accident, commercial property, homeowner, cargo, hull, liability, and construction insurance; and life insurance products, such as individual whole life, individual term life, individual endowment, individual education, individual health, group life, and universal insurance.
The Company operated two segments: the insurance agency segment and the claims adjusting segment.
- The insurance agency segment, which mainly consists of providing agency services for distributing life and P C insurance products on behalf of insurance companies.
- The claims adjusting segment, which consists of providing pre-underwriting survey services, claim adjusting services, disposal of residual value services, loading and unloading supervision services, and consulting services.
HISTORY
1998 The company was founded.
2006 On March 31, 2006, the Company acquired 82 of the outstanding common shares of Sichuan Fanhua Xintai Insurance Agency Company Limited. On June 30, 2006, the Group acquired 51.22 of the outstanding common shares of Fujian Xinheng Insurance Agency Company Limited. On October 31, 2006, the Group acquired 55 of the outstanding common shares of Hebei Anxin Insurance Agency Company Limited.
2007 The Company was incorporated in Cayman Island on April 10 2007. On September 30, 2007, the Group acquired additional 3.78 of the outstanding common shares of Fujian Xinheng. On October 31, 2007, Its ticker listed on the Nasdaq Global Market symbol was “CISG.”
2016 On December 6, 2016 Its ordinary shares are listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “FANH.”
2023 On January 3, 2023, The Company entered into definitive agreements with the existing shareholders of Zhongrong Smart Finance Information Technology Co., Ltd. On February 8, 2023, The Company entered into a definitive agreement with the existing shareholder of Wuhan Taiping Online Insurance Agency Co., Ltd. On February 6, 2023, The Company entered into a definitive agreement with the existing shareholders of Jilin Zhongji Shi'An Insurance Agency Co., Ltd (“Zhongji”), to acquire 51 of the equity interests of Zhongji.
2024 On October 31, 2024, the Company changed its name from Fanhua Inc. to AIX Inc. On October 23, 2024, the Company s ticker symbol was changed to “AIFU”.
2025 On April 17, 2025, the Company changed its name from AIX Inc. to AIFU Inc.
The Company s ADSs ceased trading on Nasdaq at 5:00 p.m. (New York Time) on May 20, 2025, and the ADR Facility was terminated as of the close of business (New York Time) on May 20, 2025. As a result, the Company s Class A ordinary shares commenced trading on Nasdaq on a post-reverse split basis under the symbol “AIFU” at the market opening on May 21, 2025.
