FUNDACIÓN CARDIOINFANTIL, a private non-profit institution created in 1973, is dedicated primarily to the care of children with cardiovascular. The INSTITUTE OF CARDIOLOGY (INSTITUTO DE CARDIOLOGÍA) was created in October 1993 to extend cardiology care to patients of all ages and to expand the Foundation’s portfolio of services to include different specialties in order to provide comprehensive care. The foundation has five intensive care units: Neonatal, Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiovascular, Adult Coronary, Adult Medical and Adult Surgical. In addition, it has 4 hemodynamic rooms and 8 operating rooms. The highly complex services provided include those provided by the Transplant Program.
