The Company is mainly engaged in shipping services to the international commercial fleet focusing on five main segments; i.e, shipping, cargo, tourism, survey and crew.
The Company s services include handling of import, export, transit and transshipment cargoes; canvassing and booking for cargoes; warehousing; clearing and forwarding; reception and repatriation of vessels' crew on signing on/off, and clearance of air freighted parcels. Its activities cover Suez Canal ports, Red Sea ports, Gulf of Aqaba and Arish ports with four shipping agencies at Port Said, four branches in Suez city, and a number of offices across the Egyptian ports.
History:
1965: The Company was established on 1 July 1965. It is considered to be one of the two most inveterate shipping companies in Egypt. It renders lots of shipping services to the international commercial fleet since 1965 as a Public Sector Company up to 1998.
1995: The Company was listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on February 27, 1995.
