Al Arafa Investment & Consulting (Arafa Holding) was established as a result of splitting Swiss Garments Company S.A.E. into two companies; SGC and Al Arafa for Investments & Consultancies. The main activity of the company is focused in three main segments: retail segment, apparel & tailoring segment & textile segment. In 2005, a strategic decision was made to consolidate the holdings of the group’s various textile and garment manufacturing and retail companies into a vertically integrated enterprise under a single holding company: Al Arafa for Investment and Consultancies, with three subsidiaries: Al Arafa for Investment in Textile Manufacturing (dedicated to the first phase of garment making), Al Arafa for Investment in Garment Manufacturing (which manufactures apparel) and Al Arafa for Investment in Marketing and Distributing Garments (which distributes the apparel produced in the Arafa companies).
