Tomson Group Limited (Hong Kong SAR, China)

Tomson Group Limited is a large enterprise group based in Hong Kong. It was founded in the late 1980s and successfully listed in Hong Kong. The group's main business is real estate development, with additional operations in golf courses, PVC industry, and hotels. It is also an important shareholder of the Hong Kong-listed company "Chuanhe Group Limited". Currently, the group's main operating base is located in Shanghai. In the early 1990s, Tomson Group had a forward-looking strategic vision for Shanghai and was one of the earliest foreign-funded enterprises to invest in and participate in the development of Pudong. It became one of the major real estate developers in Pudong. The group established a series of "first" supporting facilities in Pudong, including the first five-star hotel, the first high-end foreign business center, the first Grade A foreign office building, and the first internationally tendered land use rights. They also developed the only centrally located golf course in Pudong, along with the surrounding Tomson Golf Villas. In 2010, Tomson Group expanded into the Tianjin market. In 2012, they launched the Tomson Riviera One project in Tianjin, from site selection and land acquisition to design and construction. This marked a new era for the group. By 2018, the Tomson Riviera One project had successfully completed its sales. The significance of the Tianjin market for Tomson Group is that its strategic layout has expanded from Shanghai to the northern region with Tianjin as the entry point. In 2019, Tomson Group is committed to the planning and preparatory work of the Tomson Golden Bridge Garden project on Jinxiu East Road, which is expected to be listed in 2021. In addition, Tomson Group actively promotes the development of film and entertainment culture in mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. In 1984, Tomson Group established "Tomson Film Company Limited" and has produced 26 outstanding films, winning numerous awards. The film "Farewell My Concubine" produced in 1992 won the "Golden Palm" award at the Cannes Film Festival the following year and also received the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film in the United States. Since its establishment, Tomson Group has been closely connected to the development and construction of Pudong in Shanghai.
