PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia (the Bank) was established as a joint-venture bank in 1989. Created as PT Bank BNP Lippo Indonesia, it had BNP Group (70%) and Lippo Group (30%) as shareholders by 1999. In 2000 the composition of shareholders was changed to: BNP Paribas SA 99% and PT BNP Paribas Securities Indonesia (formerly PT BNP Prime Peregrine) 1%. On 22 November 2000, the name was changed to PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia to reflect the merger between BNP and Paribas. The Bank operates as a commercial bank providing a full range of banking facilities for medium and large Indonesian and multinational companies. As at the end of 2018, the Bank employed 98 people.
