The Company were incorporated on January 26, 1952 under the name Korea Anbo Fire Marine Reinsurance Co., only to be renamed Samsung Fire Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. -- the name we go by today -- in December 1993. The company are listed on Korea Stock Exchange on June 26, 1975.
As the best domestic non-life insurance company in terms of size, financial structure, and management, we have offices in USA, Europe, and Asian countries such as China, Indonesia, Japan, and Vietnam. The Company are the biggest non-life insurance company in Korea, boasting of total assets of KRW 15,767.6 billion as of November 2005 and solvency ratio of 413.8 (as of September 2005).
