The Company is engaged in the manufacture, import, export and distribution of glass bottles and containers.
The Company s plant, located in Mina Abdulla Industrial Area, consists of two melting furnace and five production lines with an annual production capacity of 114,000 metric tons. GGMC produces a range of clear (flint), green and amber colored glass containers, including soft drink non-returnable and returnable bottles, food and brewery, pharmaceutical jars, and other consumer products. The Company, in addition to its domestic market, exports its products to the Gulf Cooperation Council and other Middle East countries.
The Company was the first and remains the only Glass plant in Kuwait and one of the first companies in GCC countries for producing high quality glass containers for the beverage, food and other consumer sectors in the Gulf and Middle East region.
The company initiated and actively participates in glass recycling plans in the state of Kuwait. The company is a member of the British Glass Manufacturers Confederation and as part of its management strategy and vision of being the leading Glass manufacturer in the region, GGMC regularly invites renowned experts in Glass industry from all the over the world to provide internal courses, training programs and further insights in almost all steps of the manufacturing process from batch/furnace operation, fore hearth and IS machine optimization, quality control, inventory control and supply chain management. In general, the management endeavors to deploy the latest glass manufacturing technology provide continuous management and staff training and empowerment of its staff in creating and sharing success.
The Company was established on December 27, 1981.

The Company was listed on Kuwait Stock Exchange on June 28, 1998.
The Company become delisted from Kuwait Stock Exchange on 12 March 2017.
The Company listed again on Kuwait Stock Market-OTC market on 18 November 2018.
