Kurekss Ltd. was established in year 1995 as a private company with limited liability. Company's sawmill is in the western part of Latvia, near the ice-free port of Ventspils and surrounded by the largest Latvian forests. Kurekss supports sustainable forestry policy, and has acquired a wood-flow monitoring Certificate ("chain of custody"), according to the methods and criteria of FSC, and will operate in conformity with PEFC standard for custody of wood materials. Kurekss is an environmentally friendly company and its manufacturing process is carried out in accordance with environmental standard ISO 14001:2004. The company is managed in accordance with the principles of good governance and is certified under ISO 9001:2008.
