Olainfarm AS's legal predecessor, Olaine Chemical-Pharmaceutical Plant was established in 1972 as a state enterprise with the goal to supply the Soviet Union pharmaceutical plants with substances and intermediates. Later the plant started to produce pharmaceutical itself and nowadays it is one of the leading representatives of the pharmaceutical sector in Latvia and in the Baltic region. The main export markets of the company are the CIS states and the European Union.
