Financiera Finsol S.A. de C.V. was formed in 2002 as a limited purpose financial company, in order to give financing opportunities to micro, small and medium enterprises. In January 2004, the microcredit activity started to develop, under which now the companty has 168 opened branch offices, in 29 states of Mexico as well as 17 branches in Brasil. In the end of September 2007, the institution was transformed in Financiera Finsol, S.A. de C.V., S.O.F.O.M., (Multiple purpose financial society) not regulated entity. In November 30th 2010 Financiera Independencia announced the acquirement of Finsol.
