Industria Automotriz S.A. de C.V. was founded in 1957. Its main activity is to produce and supply parts for the automotive industry. It is a current supplier of major companies such as Chrysler, General Motors, Ford and Volkswagen. IASA has two manufacturing plants, one in San Nicolas de los Garza in the Northern state of Nuevo Leon and another one in central Mexico in the city of Tlaxcala. It is a subsidiary of Grupo Industrial Ramirez, S.A. de C.V. (GIRSA). Its shares were listed on Mexican Stock Exchange in 1994 and were suspended in 2011.
