The Bank is a micro finance development bank. It provides microfinance service to the poor, the marginalized and the deprived, with main focus on woman living below the poverty line. It was registered with the company Registrar s Office in December 2001 under Company Act, 2053. It obtained license in January 2002 from Nepal Rastra Bank as per Development Bank Act, 2052, the Company s name chaged and became CHHIMEK LAGHUBITTA BIKAS BANK. It was quoted on Nepal Stock Exchange.
