The Group Wiese was created by the brothers Augusto and Fernando Wiese Eslava in the early twentieth century, founding the company A y F Wiese S.A., whose main activity at the time was mainly the supply of sugar mills, mining, and import of materials, machinery and steel products. Over the years the activities were extended to investments in real estate, mining, banking, hotels and fisheries among others. Currently, the Group's shareholders are the families Moreyra Wiese, Wiese Miro Quesada, De la Puente Wiese and Wiese Ducassi.
Today Wiese Group is an investment holding company with interests in the following sectors:
• Financial with the companies Negocios Inmuebles S.A. and International Investments S.A.
• Real estate with the companies Holding Plaza S.A., A y F Wiese S.A. and WR S.A.
• Logistics with the companies Naviera Transoceánica S.A. and Petrolera Transoceánica S.A.
• Investment with the companies Hermes Transportes Blindados S.A. and Agroempaques S.A.
