Honda del Peru was founded on January 11, 1974, incorporated as a joint venture between Honda Motor and Peruvian shareholders. Honda began operations in Peru in October 1975 production at the plant located in Trujillo, later opened plants in Iquitos and Callao. Currently, the company owned 99% to Honda Motor Co of Japan. The company is dedicated to the assembly, importation and marketing of motorcycles and tricycles.
