Unión Andina de Cementos was founded in 2012 with the merger of Cementos Lima and Cemento Andino. It is cement producer with operations dating back to 1916, established as such in 1967. The company is a subsidiary of Sindicato de Inversiones y Administracion S.A. a company that owns 68.03% of its share capital. UNASEM is principally engaged in the production and / or marketing of cement, clinker and other building materials. Likewise, from March 2010 through its subsidiary Celepsa engaged in the business of Power generation. The company has a significant local market share and exports to Chile and the United States.
