KEPCO SPC Power Corporation is an independent power producer in the Philippines established as a joint venture between Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and SPC Power Corporation. Incorporated in 2005, the company was created to build, own, operate, and maintain a 200-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Naga City, Cebu using Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) boiler technology. The plant consists of two 100 MW units and was developed under a build–operate–own scheme to address the Visayas region's growing electricity demand and the aging of existing power plants. KEPCO SPC generates baseload electricity that is contracted to distribution utilities and electric cooperatives in Cebu and surrounding areas, contributing significantly to the reliability of the Visayas grid. Its core assets include the CFBC units, fuel-handling systems, environmental control facilities, and grid interconnection infrastructure, along with a specialized operations and maintenance team. Strategically, KEPCO SPC Power Corporation aims to provide stable and efficient power supply while complying with Philippine grid, market, and environmental standards, supporting regional industry, commerce, and households and serving as a key contributor to energy security in Central Visayas.
