Paxys Inc, formerly known as Fil-Hispano Holdings Corporation, is an investment holding company based in Makati, Philippines. It was incorporated in the Philippines and is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the stock symbol PAX. In 2004, Paxys underwent a reverse takeover when the principal shareholder injected Advanced Contact Solutions, Inc. (ACS) in exchange for a controlling stake in the company. ACS was a major call center in the Philippines, making Paxys the first call center firm to be listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange. Over the next four years, Paxys made several investments in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry through acquisitions and joint ventures. However, in 2012, due to business exigencies, the company started divesting most of its BPO assets. Currently, Paxys only has one major operating BPO subsidiary called ScopeWorks Asia, Inc. This Philippine company primarily provides data transcription and back office outsourcing services for the US, Australia, and UK markets. Currently, Paxys is evaluating investment opportunities to redeploy the funds generated from the divestment of its BPO assets.
