The subject is engaged in to assist in the development of projects in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, fertilizer and infrastructures fields relating to: (1) the study and construction of any works, and all necessary activities related thereto, (2) the promotion, development, construction and management of infrastructure, services and concessions of any nature, including the development and use of techniques and processes connected with industrial and building activities in general, (3) the promotion, development, construction and management of any kind of industrial and other related projects, including but not limited to industrial complexes and plants, (4) the promotion, development and management of carious in-plant services, such as maintenance, material handling and supply of various plant equipment and materials, and (5) to participate in a consortium or joint venture for the conduct of any of the foregoing activities. Provided however, that the corporation shall not own, nor engage in the operation of a power plant, or engage in the trading of petroleum products, or any other activity that would require the prior endorsement of the department of energy, provided further, that the corporation shall not accept locally funded government projects and other defense related structures.
