Sitara Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL) is a company located in Karachi, Pakistan. It was incorporated in 1981 and started producing caustic soda in 1985 with a capacity of 30 metric tons per day. Over the years, the company gradually increased its production capacity to 630 metric tons per day. SCIL has become the largest producer of Chlor-alkali products in Pakistan. In 1995, the company diversified its business by entering into the Textile Spinning industry. It installed a spinning unit with 28,512 spindles, equipped with advanced European and Japanese technology. The unit is capable of producing various types of yarn, including polyester, acrylic, and viscose. It is fully compliant with GRS and BCI standards.
