Compania Nationala Administratia Porturilor Dunarii Maritime S.A. Galati was set up in 1991, reorganized in 1998 into a National Comapany by Romanian Government Decision. It functions as a joint stock company and its activity is of a national public interest.
CN APDM SA Galati administers the entire infrastructure of ports on the Danube, including lands of the ports and docks, including the ports: Galati, Braila, Tulcea, Harsova, Isaccea, Mahmudia and the secondary branches Macin, Chilia si Sf. Gheorghe.
