Rombat SA, with its main headquarters in Bistrita, is currently the largest auto batteries producer in Romania. The companyhas been the national leader since 1997. The company's production capacity is over 2 million batteries a year. The product portfolio includes over 60 types of batteries, grouped in the following categories: Premier, Tornada, Cyclon, Calciu, Pilot, Terra Pro, Terra Plus, Terra, Terra 2S, Forte, Star, Moto batteries and UPS. Rombat supplies batteries for Dacia and it is a nominee on the panel of local suppliers of Renault. Since 2008, Rombat has been also supplying batteries for Peugeot-Citroen, in Slovakia.
