AO "Regional Electric Networks" was established in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 27, 2019, No. PP-4249 "On the Strategy for Further Development and Reform of the Electric Power Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan". The main functions of the company include managing enterprises of territorial electric networks that distribute and supply electric energy to end consumers. AO "Regional Electric Networks" consists of 12 regional branches and 2 enterprises of territorial (regional) electric networks (AO "Bukhara PTEC" and AO "Fergana PTEC"), which operate electric networks with voltages of 0.4-6-10-35-110 kV. They are also responsible for the construction, reconstruction, major and current repairs, as well as the development of new facilities. The company also has 3 branches: the Branch "Center for Automation of Electric Energy Implementation", the Branch "Development of State and Contractual Services", and the Branch "Center for State Procurement". Through the 12 regional branches, 2 enterprises of territorial (regional) electric networks (AO "Bukhara PTEC" and AO "Fergana PTEC"), and their 224 district and city power supply companies, AO "Regional Electric Networks" supplies electric energy to residential and legal consumers of the Republic of Uzbekistan through 1660 substations with voltages of 110-35 kV, 95,789 transformer points, and transmission lines with a total length of 270.3 thousand km.
