Nauchno-Proizvodstvennaya Kompaniya Yarli ZAO, located in Yaroslavl, was established in 1958 as a branch of the State Scientific Research and Design Institute of Paint and Varnish Industry in Moscow. In 1991, the institute gained independent status. Since the 1990s, the company has been developing and producing paint and varnish materials (PVM) for various industries. Through the construction of new facilities and the technical modernization of existing technological complexes, as well as the use of high-performance equipment and the development of a scientific base, the company has been able to achieve leading positions in the market for industrial paint and varnish materials in Russia. The Russian market for industrial PVM is estimated at 420,000 tons, with imports accounting for 40% and domestic production accounting for the remaining 60%. Nauchno-Proizvodstvennaya Kompaniya Yarli ZAO produces approximately 28,000 tons, which is about 7% of the total consumption. One of the company's priority areas is the production of PVM for coil coating. This technology offers several advantages compared to coating individual products, including high-quality coatings, low energy consumption, good production automation, and reduced costs and environmental impact. In the construction industry, 70% of painted coil metal with polymer coating is used, while the automotive industry accounts for 10%, and household appliance manufacturing accounts for 7%, among other sectors. Until 2005, all PVM for coil coating was imported, but now Nauchno-Proizvodstvennaya Kompaniya Yarli ZAO holds a 15-20% share of such orders. The company's future development includes water-dilutable industrial anti-corrosion PVM, UV-curable pigmented enamels for metal, PVM with low organic solvent content for single-layer coatings, PVM applied by electrophoresis (cathodic, anodic), NIR-curable industrial PVM, and chemical-resistant PVM with 100% non-volatile content. Nauchno-Proizvodstvennaya Kompaniya Yarli ZAO has modern equipment for testing PVM and coatings according to GOST, ISO, EN, DIN, ASTM, and other standards. The company's quality management system applies to the development and production of PVM and is certified to comply with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2015. Nauchno-Proizvodstvennaya Kompaniya Yarli ZAO is a member of the Technical Committee for Standardization MTK 195 "Paint and Varnish Materials" and participates in the development of interstate and national standards for PVM and testing methods. The company is part of the largest industry-specific international organization, the European Coil Coating Association (ECCA). Currently, the company has over 600 employees, including 13 individuals with scientific degrees and over 200 with higher education. The company is led by General Director Vladimir Borisovich Manerov, a candidate of technical sciences, an honored inventor of the Russian Federation, and an honorary chemist.
