Aliaga continues to produce an area of over 500 thousand m2 in the heavy industrial area operations, port services and energy production, distribution and commerce.
IDC; (Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi A.S). was established in 1975 to produce long steel products for domestic and international markets. Modern bar rolling mill and steel melt shop had been commissioned in of 1983 and 1987 respectively. Production is carried out at Foca plant that covers 500,000 m² areas located in Aliaga heavy industrial zone. After the realization of the new investments and revamping projects to improve quality, productivity and technology in 2006 and 2007, the annual production capacities of steel melt shop and bar rolling mill have been increased to 1.320.000 ton/year billet and 900.000 ton/year rebar respectively. Furthermore, a new 400.000 ton/year capacity section mill fully commenced production in 2013.

The Company was established on 13 November, 1975 with the aim of producing long-rolled products. The modern rolling mill facilities were operated in 1983 and steel mills were operated in 1987.
