Novo-Angren thermal power plant JSC, located in Angren, is one of the largest power stations in Central Asia with a capacity of 2100 MW. It is part of the unified power system of the Republic of Uzbekistan and is a subsidiary of Uzbekenergo. The power plant was established on January 2, 1976, and construction began in the same year, completing in 1985. Its main purpose is to provide electricity to the Fergana Valley, the city of Tashkent, and the Almalyk industrial zone.
