The company was established in 1983, originally to produce sulphuric acid, with a production capacity of 500,000 tons/year, and phosphoric fertilisers, with a capacity of 130,000 tons/year. Due to environmental considerations, Quqonspirt ceased its fertiliser soperations in 1989 and converted its production facilities for ethyl alcohol production, primarily for consumer spirits based mainly on the supply of local wheat.
The Company s shares were delisted on Uzbekistan Stock Exchange on April 25,2023.
The Company s shares were listed on Republican Stock Exchange Toshkent - OTC on Feb 15, 2024.
