Cong Ty Co Phan Xi Mang Sai Son, located in Ha Noi, was established in 1958 under the management of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People's Army. It is Vietnam's first vertical kiln cement production base and the second cement production base in the country. In 1996, it was renamed Saigon Son Cement Company. The company completed the investment in a mechanized vertical kiln cement production line in 1998, exceeding the designed capacity and achieving stable and enhanced product quality. From 2002-2003, the company invested in a synchronous production line, increasing the total design capacity to 120,000 tons per year. In 2006, the company expanded its production by leasing a crushing plant and established Chuong My Branch. The company plans to produce and consume over 200,000 tons of cement mainly supplied to Ha Tay, Hanoi, and surrounding areas. The company converted its production model from vertical kiln cement to a rotary kiln cement factory and invested in building Nam Son cement factory. The company aims to be one of the leading enterprises in cement production in the North of Vietnam by 2020. It focuses on developing its workforce and participating in social activities such as charity, sponsoring sports tournaments, and supporting education for children in mountainous provinces. The company also prioritizes environmental protection by complying with regulations and investing in modern equipment to limit CO2 emissions.
