Monolit AD (Haskovo) (Монолит АД (Хасково)) (Bulgaria)

Monolit was set up in 1994 and is based in the southern Bulgarian town of Haskovo.
The company specialises in industrial and civil engineering projects such as design and construction of water-supply and sewerage networks, as well as in selling furnished residential property and leasing and marketing activities in Bulgaria and abroad.
In October 1997, Monolit became majority shareholder of wood-and metal-processing company Modus Haskovo, which is also a producer of concrete and steel reinforcement shapes.
In 2000 the company bought a quarry extracting and trading in felt and river sand in Skobelevo, in the souther municipality of Dimitrovgrad.
Also in 2000, Monolit became majority shareholder of transport company Trans Aida.
In 2003 the company bought and refurbished a concrete producing plant in Haskovo with 100 cubic m/h capacity. A concrete making plant with 60 cubic m/h capacity in Dimitrovgrad was purchased the same year.
In 2004, Monolit bought the Madjarovo community services Company, which operates a quarry, a concrete plant and a construction base in the area of the municipality.
