Nueva Empresa Promotora de Salud S.A., located in Bogota D.C., is a public limited company that was incorporated on March 22, 2007, according to public deed No. 753. It became a Health Promoting Entity for the Contributory Regime through Resolution No. 371 on April 3, 2008, and for the Subsidized Regime through Resolution No. 02664 on December 17, 2015, issued by the National Health Superintendence. Nueva EPS began its operations on August 1, 2008, with the affiliation of members from the Institute of Social Security (ISS) who were transferred to the company. Over time, Nueva EPS has grown its user base and has become one of the largest EPS (Health Promoting Entities) in the country. It is also the first EPS to have coverage in 1,117 municipalities.
