Mieco Chipboard Berhad (MIECO) operates as an investment holding and provision of management service company. The activities of the subsidiaries include manufacturing, selling and marketing of chipboards and other related products. The company also engages in the reforestation, harvesting, extraction and supply of rubber, investment trading and property investment. MIECO has also expanded its business to interior decoration, consultancy and the procurement of rubberwood. MIECO has two production plants both located in the state of Pahang. The plant, which produces melamine-impregnated paper, is in Semambu Industrial Estate. Meanwhile, the plant in Gebeng Industrial Estate produces cut-to-size melamine faced chipboards and laminated flooring and semi-furnished furniture components. The company distributes the products in Malaysia and export to China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, South East Asia and India. In addition, MIECO has an agreement with Kunz Holding GmbH & Co. KG of Germany for the production of low emission grade particleboard. The company was incorporated in 1972 and is based in Kuala Lumpur.
