Founded in 1951, Jan de Nul is a company focused in the construction and maintenance of maritime infrastructure and dredging, land reclamation and beach replenishment, rock revetment works, port infrastructure and heavy lift and salvage works. It also has offshore , civil and environmental services.
In 1996, Envisan joined the Group as a subsidiary, having been established in 1992 and specializing in soil remediation and groundwater redevelopment. Together with the dredging and civil activities, it turned Jan De Nul Group into an all-round company.
In Central and South America the company operated through Hidrovia SA (Argentina), Jan de Nul do Brasil Dragagem, Mexicana de Dragados SA de CV.
In Uruguay the company is working on the construction of new 8,5 Ha container terminal and Montevideo entrance channel since 2006.
