Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SDV) is a wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary of Samsung Display, operating a major display module and panel-related production base in Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province. The company's activity centers on the assembly, testing, and finishing of advanced display products, primarily small- and medium-sized OLED display modules used in smartphones and other mobile devices, with ongoing expansion into OLED modules for IT devices and automotive applications. SDV functions as a key back-end production and supply node within Samsung Display's global OLED value chain, complementing upstream panel fabrication in Korea and other locations. Output is predominantly export-oriented and integrated into Samsung Electronics' and external OEM customers' global device manufacturing networks. SDV's strategic positioning is aligned with Samsung Display's consolidation of OLED module capacity in Vietnam to enhance cost efficiency, shorten supply lines for ASEAN-based electronics hubs, and secure scalable production for next-generation OLED formats, including foldable and high-performance IT/automotive displays. The Bac Ninh campus represents one of Samsung Display's largest overseas investments and is treated as a long-term growth platform for OLED module leadership, supported by continuous capital expenditure in high-precision automation, yield improvement, and workforce upskilling.
