HSBC México, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, is a major subsidiary of Grupo Financiero HSBC and one of the four largest banking institutions in Mexico. The company was originally founded in 1941 as Banco Internacional, S.A., later known as Bital, and was acquired by HSBC Holdings plc in 2002.
